A woman was struck by a light motor vehicle on Hendrik Potgieter Road last night, 18 March.
While details of the moments leading up to the accidents are unknown, it seems as though the woman was struck by the left-hand side of the vehicle, a Volkswagen Polo.
According to the Netcare 911 spokesperson, Shawn Herbst, they received the call about the accident shortly after 8pm on Monday night.

“Reports from the scene indicated that a 56-year-old female had been struck down by a light motor vehicle while crossing the road,” Herbst said. “The patient was assessed on scene by an advanced life support paramedic and found to have sustained serious injuries.”
Due to the extent of her injuries, the woman had to be stabilised on scene and then transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
