Muldersdrift Police, Muldersdrift and Krugersdorp CPF members, BCI Security and other security services provided scene safety and security until the truck was pulled off the road,” Jordaan explained.

After the truck was removed, Jordaan said the local community was allowed to take the salvage stock, thus helping to clear the road. “One entrepreneur loaded the back of his bakkie with aluminium cans after the community had taken some of the cans that were still salvageable,” he said, describing the action at the scene.
