Man pretends to be dead in front of gate

Residents have been warned about people lying down in front of their properties in what is believed to be a scam, with the intention to commit a crime.

Don’t be fooled, they are not out there doing the Idibala dance challenge (the famous dance move that involves falling on the floor) outside your gate.

Residents have been warned about people lying down in front of their properties in what is believed to be a scam, with the intention to commit a crime.

The warning comes after a post emerged on Facebook of a man pretending to be dead in front of a property gate. In the post, the complainant reported that he looked through the window and saw something lying in front of the gate. When he went out to check, the man lying next to the gate pretended to be dead when he tried to chase him away.

He eventually got up and walked away after he heard the resident calling the police.
