Teen Tragedy – Minibus driver found guilty on multiple charges

He was not found guilty on a charge of drunken driving because he was never tested.

The minibus driver who slammed into a vehicle, killing four teenagers on 25 August 2017, Thabo Modikoane, was found guilty on five charges on 13 February.

He was not found guilty on a charge of drunken driving because he was never tested. Although the State knew there was alcohol in his system, it could not be proved beyond reasonable doubt that it had impaired his driving skills.
