Affected residents of Witpoortjie remain without power

Time of restoration is not yet know.

Residents residing on Culemborg and Nassau Streets in Witpoortjie are without electricity due to a mini-substation blowing up.

The mini-substation blew up late yesterday, 17 February, leaving the section of Witpoortjie without power.

According to Ward 71 councillor, René Benjamin, City Power officials are currently on scene, however the time of restoration is not yet known.

She will provide a follow-up on this matter as soon as possible.
