Ageing infrastructure: Record denied access to school

It is unclear whether the DA was allowed into the school.

Despite a media invitation from the DA, the Record was denied access to Hoërskool Roodepoort earlier today, 6 February.

The DA’s Spokesperson on Education, Khume Ramulifho MPL, would have done an oversight inspection at the school in light of the tragedy at Hoërskool Driehoek in Vanderbijlpark. According to some, numerous classrooms were blocked off at the school due to ageing and potentially dangerous infrastructure. One person said, “The problems at the school are a disaster waiting to happen”.
