The importance of a tracking device on a vehicle was highlighted by BCI Security following their involvement in the recovery of a stolen car during the weekend.
On Sunday, 27 January, the company was alerted to a stolen vehicle in the area.
The security company, in conjunction with the police and a tracking company, recovered the stolen vehicle at a complex in Ruimsig.
According to BCI, no suspects were found with the vehicle, but the police are still conducting an investigation.

“If you are a vehicle owner, it is imperative that you install a tracking device in your vehicle. Some companies charge as little as R99 per month. A tracking unit will greatly increase the chance of recovering your vehicle in the event of it being stolen or hijacked,” their Facebook post advised.
