Calling all photographers – here’s your chance to be in our newspaper
This is for all the photographers out there, big or small.
If you spend your time behind a camera lens, then you are the type of person we are looking for to submit photos for the new ‘You’ve Been Snapped’ section of our newspaper.
From portrait to landscape to wildlife, we know that Roodepoort is teeming with brilliant photographers, and if you know how to get the best out of a setting then we are looking for your photos. Whether they’re from your latest trip to the Kruger Park, or simply your dog doing a trick in your backyard, we want that photo.
Photography of any kind is allowed, but we will not accept any images that depict illegal activity or nudity. No promiscuous photos will be accepted or published. Please note that we will also not promote photographic agencies as that is free advertising, and will only publish the name of the person who captured the image.
Also note that simply submitting your photo does not guarantee publication of your photo, as we will need to check the photo and select the best from those submitted.
You can e-mail your photos to blakel@caxton.co.za along with the following:
• A title/ headline for the image
• A caption describing the image
• The name of the photographer
• When the photo was taken
Requirements for the photos are as followed:
• Must be taken with a camera – no cellphone photos will be accepted
• The file must be larger than 1MB in size
• The resolution must be at least 72 dpi
• The photo must be your own intellectual property and not belong to someone else
