Roodepoort Police arrested 43 suspects over the weekend spanning from 18 to 20 January.
The arrests were made during routine stop-and-search operations. The suspects aged between 16 and 63 were arrested on the following charges – assault under the Domestic Violence Act 116 of 1998, housebreaking and theft, theft, driving under the influence of alcohol, shoplifting, common robbery, robbery, assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm, attempted murder, possession of dagga and smoking dagga in public.
All the suspects were detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
