A man, believed to be in his 30s, was left seriously injured last night (21 January) following a shooting incident on General Pienaar Avenue in Witpoortjie.
ER24 paramedics, along with Life Healthcare, arrived on the scene after 9pm to find the man lying at a nearby service station surrounded by his friends.

The man was quickly assessed and found to have sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen, leaving him in a serious condition.

The victim was treated, provided with advanced life support interventions, and thereafter transported to a provincial hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
