Have a Heart residents need your support

'We need help to secure a new house for our residents'

Marius Oelofse from the Have a Heart Care Centre is appealing to the community to support them in their endeavour to provide new living quarters for their residents.

“We take care of 30 underprivileged senior citizens, some of whom are disabled, and we have to vacate our current premises due to unforeseen circumstances. We are able to get a big house for the residents, that will be much more comfortable, as they would not have to climb any stairs,” he said.

He added that, in order for them to secure this house, they need to pay a deposit, as well as one month’s rent, before 2 February.

“We are asking the community to please support us. We are not asking for money, but, if you have any old furniture, clothes or any other items that you do not need (or want any more), why not have a jumble sale and donate the proceeds to us?” Marius said.

He said that they would appreciate any help, and should anyone need more information, they can contact him on 082 952 7151 or Bongi on 082 264 7957.
