Only two crimes were reported to the Roodekrans Neighbourhood Watch’s operations room during the weekend of Friday, 13 January, to Sunday, 15 January:
At 5am on Friday, there was an attempted break-in in Hardekool Street. The perpetrators jumped the perimeter fence, opened the dining room window and cut the burglar bars. The alarm was triggered and the suspects fled without stealing anything.
At 6am on the same day in Frangipani Street, the perpetrators also jumped the perimeter fence and cut the burglar bars. Once inside the house, they stole a flat screen TV, a laptop and a handbag.
