On Monday and Tuesday (7 and 8 January) a total of 17 suspects were arrested by Roodepoort Police during routine stop-and-search operations.
The suspects aged between 21 and 40 were arrested on the following charges – murder, possession of drugs, possession of suspected stolen property, common robbery, assault, assault GBH, domestic violence and theft.
All the suspects were detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
