Young boy critical after Wilro Park collision

Two others sustained minor injuries

A 12-year-old boy was left in a critical condition after an accident on Ontdekkers Road in Wilro Park on the afternoon of 26 December.

According to ER24, their paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 3pm where they found an overturned vehicle and a severely damaged Mini.

Upon assessment, the 12-year-old was found in the Mini with severe head injuries. He was treated on scene, and then rushed to hospital for further medical care.

A 14-year-old, from the same vehicle, was assessed and treated for minor injuries as well.

The driver of the overturned vehicle was also assessed and treated for minor injuries while sill on sene.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident are being investigated by the relevant authorities, and as soon as more information becomes available, an update will be published.
