Alternative ways to spend New Year’s Eve

The one at the end of the list might be your best option

The festive season is seldom a time of rest and by the time New Year’s Eve comes around, you might be fed up with the endless parties, social gatherings and more. Soon you will have to go back to work, so maybe it’s time to rather start winding down than having that final mother of all parties on New Year’s Eve.

Here are some alternative ways to spend New Year’s Eve:

• Play good old-fashioned board games with your family, romantic partner or a few good intimate friends

• Write yourself letter reflecting on the year past and the one to come

• Do a New Year’s Eve spring-clean

• Skype a friend

• Set up a room in your house as a cinema and have some friends over for a marathon movie session

• Host a small intimate dinner party

• Plan your New Year’s resolutions and how you are going to keep them

• Go stargazing with friends, Drive a distance out of town and have a picnic under the stars.

• Stay in bed!
