Prayer warriors

They meet every Wednesday to learn more about the Bible and to socialise as women.

On Wednesday, 5 December, the women of the Grace Bible Study gathered for the last time this year to hold their year-end function.

The women reflected on the projects they have engaged in over the year while enjoying their tea and cake. The Grace Bible Study is a mixed age and race women’s group. They meet up every Wednesday to learn more about the Bible and to socialise. They also help with charity organisations.

“When I moved to South Africa from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, I felt as if I didn’t fit into the community until I met this group of women.

They welcomed me with love and they have supported me with the challenges that I have been through. I can say that they are now like family to me,” said Ermelle Niyo.

“I enjoy meeting with these lovely women because we support and pray for each other. Every women needs a group like this where you can just off-load and share with other women.

If other women want to join, they can call me on 072 563 3466,” said Grace Jacobs.
