“We need to light up Christmas for our children this year, and it is our hearts’ desire to give each and every one of them a Christmas present. However, we cannot afford it,” Lebogang Day Care principal, Keitumetsa Kesilwe said.
“While you are looking forward to a joyful festive season, celebrating goodwill under the lights of your Christmas tree, receiving gifts, visiting loved ones and enjoying a delicious Christmas meal, these children will not have that luxury. That is why we ask you to please open your hearts, as one act of kindness can light up their Christmas and give them hope,“ she pleaded.
The public can donate the following items: any Christmas gift, shoes (size two to 12), school bag, toilet paper, cleaning detergents, paint for the walls, toys, mattresses, stationery or cash.
Lebogang Day Care is a non-profit organisation registered is a pre-school for about 55 unprivileged children. It is located on Plot 61, Princess. To donate, contact the principal Keitumetsa on 078 812 1705 or 079 609 7488.
