Play a role in the community

Drugs, alcohol, physical and emotional abuse have become the norm, and lives are being ruined

On Tuesday, 27 November, the South Africa Against All Rape Violence Safe and Sound organisation continued to play its role in the community by donating 20 jackets to the Princess Community Police Forum (CPF).The handover took place at the Princess Clinic. “The aim of this donation is to make the CPF team more visible in the community. This will enhance their work,” said South Africa Against All Rape Violence Safe and Sound Director, Dewald Botha.

“Drugs, alcohol, physical and emotional abuse have become the norm, and lives are being ruined. ‘No to abuse’ campaigns need to be taken back to our schools and communities to protect our basic human rights and to stop abuse of all kinds. The future is worth saving and this is why we support initiatives such as the CPF,” said the organisation’s CEO, Christel Botha.

The organisation is both an NPC (non-profit company) and an NGO (non-governmental organisation) and is a community-based organisation that does prevention programmes against alcohol and drug abuse, child care and protection programmes, community mobilisation programmes, and more. The organisation also does community outreach programmes.

Should you wish to donate towards the organisation, please contact Christel on 078 736 7724.
