Police seek suspects for motorist’s murder

She said, “It was suspected that the victim stopped next to the road to change a flat tyre when he was shot”.

Muldersdrift Police are appealing to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of suspects involved in the murder of a motorist on Wednesday, 28 November to come forward.

The body of a 57-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his back was discovered by police next to his silver BMW alongside Drift Boulevard just before 10pm.

Constable Slindile Ntuli, the police spokesperson, indicated that the body was found by sector police members who were patrolling and noticed the car standing next to the road.

She said, “It is suspected that the victim had stopped next to the road to change a flat tyre when he was shot”.

The motive behind the fatal shooting is still unknown. Ntuli urged anyone with information to contact the Muldersdrift Police on 011 952 4600 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
