Unlawful JMPD officers must be reported

Report on the Anti-Corruption hotline on 0800 203 712.

A recent media statement by Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson, Wayne Minnaar, urged the public to report unlawful acts by JMPD officials.

“Members of the public are reminded that if you are of the opinion that you are unfairly treated by any JMPD officer, you should immediately report the matter. Do not negotiate with an officer who is on the wrong side of the law,” Minnaar said. Residents can report on the Anti-Corruption hotline on 0800 203 712. The line is operational 24 hours a day. Residents can also contact the Director, Sam Sethagu, on 082 411 2430.

If any JMPD officer performed his or her duty well and went beyond the call of duty, the public can commend the officer by sending an email to waynem@joburg.org.za.
