Roodepoort police arrests 23 suspects

They were arrested on various charges

During the weekend of 26 to 28 October, the Roodepoort Police carried out stop-and-search duties, which resulted in 23 arrests.

The suspects, aged between 18 and 58, were arrested on various charges, including possession of dagga, drunken driving, house robbery, possession of drugs, shoplifting, assault with the intention to cause bodily harm, housebreaking and theft, possession of stolen property, interference with police duties, dealing in dagga, common robbery, theft, and malicious injury to property.

All suspects were charged and detained at the Roodepoort Police Station and will be appearing in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
