Parents warned about new drug

Police are still waiting for results from their forensic laboratory.

The Police have issued an urgent warning to parents following the hospitalisation of 14 Pretoria school children who took an unknown drug.

Two disturbing videos are also doing the rounds on social media of two different incidents showing children either overdosing or having a negative reaction to this still unknown drug.

The drug looks similar to dagga and is sold in attractive packages similar in size to condom packaging. It goes by names such as Huff, Blazing, Fun Bubblegum, Tutti Frutti and Crazy Coconut. The drug is also rolled in a joint, as with dagga, and then smoked.

The Police have asked parents to warn their children of the dangers of using unknown substances. What is most disturbing is that the drug is allegedly sold over the counter in tobacco shops and some liquor stores.
