A second armed robbery was committed in Witpoortjie, just two days after the dramatic armed robbery and shooting at Pick n Pay on Thursday, 18 October.
On Saturday morning, 20 October, just after 8am, three robbers (two armed) entered the Arizona Café on the corner of Trezona Avenue and Proot Street. The three men, wearing blue overalls, took cash, cigarettes and cellphones before fleeing in what a car guard described as a Renault.

Despite the neighbourhood watch circling the area, the three suspects could not be found.
