Ford Figo completely gutted after fire

“As he stood at the ATM several other customers called him and said they saw smoke coming from the engine. He thought they were playing around only to see his car go up in flames,” read the report from Drift Reaction's Facebook page.

 

A Ford Figo burnt beyond recognition this past weekend at a local shopping centre in Honeydew.

The cause of the inferno remains unknown according to the report. The owner of the car learnt about the fire from onlookers who alerted him while he was withdrawing cash from an ATM.

“As he stood at the ATM, several other customers called him and said they saw smoke coming from the engine. He thought they were playing around only to see his car go up in flames,” read the report from Drift Reaction’s Facebook page.

The company’s control centre assisted by calling out the fire department. The attempt didn’t help as the car burnt out completely in front of the owner and bystanders.

In recent months, Ford vehicles have been thrust into the spotlight following reports of some of its brands such as the Kuga bursting into flames across the country. This resulted in some models being recalled by the company.
