After just over a week of deliberation among the Black Eagle Project Roodekrans (BEPR) members, it has come time to announce the name of the juvenile eagle.
The Name the Chick competition launched on 17 August, and offered our readers the chance to submit what they thought would be a fitting name for the newest addition to the Black Eagle family. The competition concluded on 14 September, and we handed the entries to the BEPR team who voted and chose the winning name.
The winner of the competition was Malishe Pienaar, whose entry signified a great deal for the BEPR team. For a bit more info on how the voting happened, and of course to find out what the juvenile eagle’s name now is, check out the video below:
