The former Parktown Boys High water polo coach and Roodepoort resident, Collan Rex will be sentenced in the Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court today.
He initially faced 327 counts and pleaded guilty to 144. The court also found him guilty on 114 counts of sexual assault and 12 of common assault. Rex was charged in 2016 when CCTV footage of him and a learner was discovered.

Meanwhile the Gauteng Department of Education released an independent report, showing that disturbing initiation practices with a sexual undertone persist at the prestigious school.
