Zandspruit dwellers to march to Honeydew Police Station this morning

The march will not disrupt business operations in the area.

A planned march by Zandspruit informal settlement residents have been confirmed to take place this morning, Wednesday, 19 September from 9am.

According to a approval letter by the City of Johannesburg, residents will be marching to Honeydew Police Station to handover a memorandum with the list concerns which they aim to be addressed, with one of them being the scourge of women and children abuse and killings in the community.

In the approval letter, it’s been stated that the march will affect Beyers Naude Drive and Marina Road. It was also notified that the march will not disrupt business operations in the area.
