The Cradle Gin Festival promises to delight

Craft gins will be showcased and new gin fans created

If you like all things gin, you would definitely not want to miss out on the Cradle Gin Fest on 23 September.

The festival will be held at Glenburn Lodge in Muldersdrift and will feature some of South Africa’s most exciting local gin distilleries, as well as some well-known international brands.

The festival is child-friendly and there will be a dedicated play area for them. Local bands will be providing entertainment throughout the day.

Visitors can expect a thrilling line-up of more than 18 distilleries – which include some industry favourites and exciting new entrants. There will be opportunities to indulge in a few tasters, and visitors can also choose from a menu of signature cocktails – all expertly crafted by talented ginsmiths and mixologists. For the non-drinkers, there will a non-alcoholic gin, which will enable everyone to enjoy the festival.

“I can’t wait for gin fans to take part in this brilliant festival, that will be showcasing some fantastic craft gins and maybe create some new gin fans,” said Nigel Peel, the Manager of Glenburn Lodge.

To ensure nobody goes hungry, food will also be served during the day. “Remember to drink responsibly, and take advantage of the overnight Show and Stay accommodation package at the lodge. Reservations can be made by sending an email toreservations@glenburn.co.za or by calling 011 668 1600. If you use ‘Jus Gin’ you will qualify for special discount rates,” Peel said.

The festival will take place from 11am to 6pm and ticket prices range from R150 to R350 per person. There is a limited number of tickets available, so to avoid disappointment, book yours now at www.ticketpros.co.za.

Alternatively, buy them from any Edgars, PostNet, Jet or CNA.
