Various arrests made during stop-and-search operations
Charges include sexual assault.
Roodepoort Police’s stop-and-search operations once again yielded success this past week.
From 30 August to 23 August 43 arrests were made. The ages of the suspects ranged from 25 to 56. They were arrested on the following charges – assault, malicious injury to property, theft, housebreaking and theft, possession of suspected stolen property, fraud, murder, contempt of court, sexual assault, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of gold-bearing material, shoplifting, possession of dagga, possession of drugs, attempted theft of motor vehicle and attempted housebreaking.

The suspects were detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
