SRT Security has cautioned patrons to be wary of who’s behind them at shopping centres.

This follows an incident of pick-pocketing at a well-known retailer in Strubens Valley on 15 August.

According to SRT Security’s reaction manager, Maggie Bezuidenhout, the perpetrators, two women and one man, bumped into the patron in the store and one of them reached into the patron’s handbag to steal whatever s/he could find.

Maggie said after the patron raised the alarm, she was threatened by the perpetrators who had waited for her in the parking lot.
