The learners at Agape Christian School were tasked with collecting as many coins as possible for Mandela Day.
The success of the initiative saw the school handing over grocery money along with two bags of old clothes and five blankets to a local charity called Charity Begins With Me. This charity feeds about 950 underprivileged children every Saturday at Durban Deep.
Suzan Weedman, a volunteer and parent at the school, collected the donation on behalf of the organisation.
