During recent special operations, which included stop-and-search duties as well as clamping down on illegal mining, the Roodepoort Police arrested 38 suspects.
The suspects, aged between 20 and 65, were arrested on various charges, including possession of drugs, common assault, possession of dagga, drunken driving, robbery, contravening the Gauteng Liquor Act, crimen injura, attempted murder, theft and shoplifting.

All suspects were charged and detained at the Roodepoort Police Station and will be appearing in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
