Spar employees demonstrate against management

Striking workers demand better working conditions and benefits, according to their placards.

 

It has been reported that a group of Super Spar Ruimsig employees have taken to the streets to vent their dissatisfaction with store management.

According to some of the placards displayed by the aggrieved employees, they are complaining about issues relating to the provident fund, wage increases, long service, medical aid, and the list goes on …

The workers are said to be chanting outside the busy supermarket inside Ruimsig Shopping Centre. No acts of violence or police presence have been reported.
