NGO appeals for Father’s Day treats

As we gear up for Father’s Day (17 June), a non-profit organisation plans to make this day extra special for uncelebrated fathers; however, they need support from businesses to make this initiative possible.
The Lily Kur Fund for senior citizens is appealing to businesses to donate items as they will be collecting toiletry bags and toiletries as well as soft treats which will be handed over to the elderly gentlemen on Father’s Day.
The organisation will select two Roodepoort or West Rand government old age homes to receive the donations.
Last year the organisation had an overwhelming response to their “Donate a bag for Mother’s Day” which 947 and Dischem contributed to.
