Princess clean-up well supported

Residents were not deterred by the cold weather

 

Despite the chilly overcast weather, the monthly clean-up campaign in Princess was well supported.

The councillor for Ward 71, René Benjamin, organised a clean-up in Princess and surrounding areas, and was joined by fellow councillors and residents.

The Regional Director, Mlamleli Belot, as well as the Democratic Alliance Ward 85 candidate, Sonja Meyer, also joined in on the day’s activities.

Everyone present did their bit by picking up litter, cutting the overgrown grass on the pavements, and pruning some of the trees and plants.

“I just want to thank everyone who supported today’s initiative, despite the weather not wanting to play along. Together, we can make a difference, and ensure our community is kept clean,” René s aid.
