Man airlifted to hospital after falling down stairs

A 45-year-old man was airlifted to hospital this morning, 21 May, after he had fallen down a flight of stairs at his residence in Little Falls.

“The officers had already begun gaining access to the patient’s locked residence. Inside, paramedics found the 45-year-old man lying at the bottom of the stairs.

“They assessed him and found that he had sustained a serious head injury. He was in a serious condition,” Meiring explained.

He added that the man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions before he was airlifted by the ER24 Oneplan helicopter to a nearby private hospital.

Local authorities remained at the scene to conduct their investigations, Meiring concluded.
