Combined schools reached for a dream on Mother’s Day

Arrows of Destiny Christian Academy celebrated its mothers and Slipper Day all in one go when it combined forces with Agapeland Nursery School on Friday, 11 May.

Agapeland Nursery School and Arrows of Destiny celebrated Mother’s Day in style when they embraced the spirit of Slipper Day together with Mother’s Day on 11 May.

As part of their Mother’s Day celebrations, they sang songs of appreciation to their moms, bringing tears to their eyes in the process.

After the music, the moms and their children were treated to some sweets and treats, while the principal of the school, Jeanette Porter, reminded the moms that they are more precious than rubies.

Arrows of Destiny Christian Academy not only celebrated the mothers on 11 May, but also took part in the nationwide Reach for a Dream initiative, Slipper Day.

Jeanette holds the Reach for a Dream initiative particularly close to her heart as her daughter was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 13.

The school is very grateful to the medical field for their hard work in making long-term illnesses easier to deal with and for Reach for a Dream, which gives invaluable support and help to patients of all ages.

Jeanette had one simple message for those struggling against a long-term illness: “Impossible only means you haven’t found the solution yet!”
