Scores of suspects arrested during operations
From 7 until 10 May Roodepoort Police arrested 46 suspects during special operations in its precinct.
Suspects aged between 22 and 57 were arrested on the following charges: assault with the intention to do grievous bodily harm, drunken driving, intimidation and pointing of a firearm, common robbery, shoplifting, theft, theft of cables, dealing in dagga and drugs, possession of drugs, possession of dagga, illegal possession of gold concentrate, possession of illegal firearm, contempt of court and reckless and negligent driving.

The suspects were detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
