Driver not found on scene after accident

Sharing the medical report, Meiring said ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 6.42am to find the vehicle on the side of the road.

 

The driver of the Toyota Avanza being used as a taxi that rolled and injured six people during the morning of 10 May on Marina Road in Cosmo City was apparently not found at the scene after the incident.

Local authorities were on scene to further investigate the incident, according to Russel Meiring, the ER24 spokesperson.

Sharing the medical report, Meiring said ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 6.42am to find the vehicle on the side of the road.

“The occupants had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found gathered around the scene,” he said.

He added, “Paramedics assessed the patients and found that five had sustained moderate injuries while one had sustained more serious injuries.”

“The patients were treated for their injuries and the seriously injured provided with pain relief medication before they were transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.”
