A video of the hijacking of a Land Rover on the evening of 8 May at 9.45pm is being circulated on social media.
The ordeal took place at a Sasol garage in Ruimsig, in full view of the petrol attendants.

In the footage from the garage provided by Absolut Security, a white Audi drove into the garage while the Land Rover was being attended to by a petrol attendant. Seconds later, a number of men wielding firearms got out of the Audi and approached the driver of the Land Rover, who was subsequently forced out of the car and ran out in disbelief with his hands on his head.
It is unclear whether a case has been opened by the victim.
