Joburg EMS to honour learners in all regions

The EMS will be honouring learners from all seven regions who participated in the programme.

Over 500 scholars stand to be honoured by the City of Johannesburg’s Emergency Management Services (EMS) at the second annual Schools Emergency Response Team Awards Ceremony.

The EMS will be honouring the learners from all seven regions who participated in the programme which seeks to create safer schools and communities, ensure maximum integrated community outreach programmes and promote safety.

This programme offers secondary schools training in basic first aid and basic firefighting which enables them to react in an emergency.

The awards ceremony will be held on 8 May 2018 at 10am at Orlando Community Hall, Soweto.

The media have been invited to attend by the EMS’ Acting Executive Head Mhlengi Makhubalo.
