Out and about with the Fantasy Fayre

Exciting prizes for our best-dressed fantasy beasts and their handlers, and a special competition for the small humans.

If you or your children love unicorns, dragons, mermaids, griffons, werewolves and all magical beasts, be sure not to miss the annual Fantasy Fayre, which is especially for all that have feathers and fur and claws galore!

Fantasy Fayre (The Bestiary) will be holding its annual event on Saturday, 2 June at La Vue Lodge Muldersdrift, from 10am to 6pm.

They intend to have The Bestiary day full of the fantastic and fabulous, brought to you by the team that brought you festivals such as A Viking Thing, Discworld Day and the Magical Medieval Fayre – AlterEgos Events, consisting of Meryl Rosenberg and Dayle Robyn Mallinson, who have a flair for the magical, unique and unusual.

It is said that there will be all manner of fantasy-themed market stalls and merriment, including playing a game of Kubb (Viking Chess), having a go at archery or sampling Eoin’s Tankard mead while you watch weapons being forged, or try your hand at the Axe Toss! Meet and have your photo taken with the beautiful birds of prey from Feathers and Scales. Wander through the market to the sounds of the bards and the clash of steel on steel as the JuggerKnights spar. Handmade jewellery, dragons, ceramics, art, clothing, craft beer and delicious food and more will be on sale at the stalls.
