Two house robberies under investigation

No injuries were reported in any of the two incidents, according to Muthan.

 

Honeydew Police are investigating two house robberies that occurred a few hours apart on 4 April in different suburbs of the policing precinct.

According to Captain Balan Muthan, police spokesperson, the first incident happened on Albert Street in Weltevreden Park while the second robbery occurred in Cosmo City.

“At about 1.12pm two unarmed intruders forced open the door to enter the property in Weltevreden Park. They managed to steal a television, jewellery and a tablet.

“At about 4pm that day, three armed robbers approached a woman outside her house in Cosmo City and pushed her inside. While she was being held at gunpoint, the thugs helped themselves to clothes, shoes, cash and a laptop,” Muthan explained.

He added that no injuries were reported in any of the two incidents.
