Stray puppy on road to recovery

After its rescue and move to its new home, Jordaan took the puppy to the vet where she was found to have intestinal worms and was immediately put under special care.

 

The emaciated puppy, Angel, has started her long road to recovery after she was admitted for medical treatment.

Angel was found by BCI Security personnel on 23 March in Wilgeheuwel. Their carrying public relations officer Gary Jordaan took the responsibility of caring for the homeless unhealthy puppy.

After its rescue and new home, Jordaan took the puppy to the vet where she was found to have intestinal worms and was immediately put under special care.

Jordaan shared her current prognosis. He said, “She’s got a massive white cell reaction and she’s not fully dewormed.”

Jordaan added that she is being force fed and is on the drip for fluids.
