National Joe Day

Enjoy a cup of joe with all your friends named Joe on #NationalJoeDay

27 March is National Joe Day and is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a cup of joe with all your friends named Joe, Jo, Joette, Joey, Joseph, Josephine, Johanna, Joann, Jodie or any other variant of the name.

According to the United States Social Security Administration, the name Joseph was ranked number six from 1893 to 1899, behind John, William, James, George and Charles. In 1910 it moved to number five and from 1911 to 2005 it was ranked number 12 or lower.

There are many ways to celebrate today. Here are some suggestions:

– Honour all people named Joe.

– Change your name to one of your choice, but just for today.

– For today only, everyone change their name to Joe – or a variant thereof. Women and girls may use Josephine or Jodie.

Use #NationalJoeDay to post on social media.
