Local security foils robbery and nabs suspects

The reaction officer immediately drove in the direction stated and called for back-up when he spotted a vehicle matching the description given.

 

Swift reaction by a local security company led to the apprehension of four suspects who had robbed a pedestrian of his valuables in Fairlands on 19 March.

According to a report by Beagle Watch on Facebook, while their members were on patrol along Davidson Street, one of their reaction officers was flagged down by a pedestrian who reported that he had just been robbed of his valuables by the occupants of a white Ford sedan, and indicated the direction towards which the vehicle had taken off.

The reaction officer immediately drove in that direction, and called for back-up when he spotted a vehicle matching the description given.

Quick thinking from the reaction officers enabled them to intercept the vehicle. Upon inspection, it was found to be the vehicle used to rob the pedestrian. They successfully managed to apprehend four suspects with the stolen goods and the knives they used during the robbery. The suspects were handed over to the police.
