Charterhouse holds reading initiatives for learners

Charterhouse recently undertook several reading initiatives with the aim of promoting reading among its learners.

Charterhouse Preparatory School started their celebration of World Book Day on 1 March with the Grade 5s dressing up as their favourite book character, and then reading stories to the Grade 1s.

The Grade 1s also did their bit for reading and books when they took part in a Pyjama Story Evening on 8 March.

They and their teachers were given an opportunity to come to school in their pyjamas and have stories read to them by the teachers, while their parents were told about the ins and outs of the Grade 1 reading programme.
