Gigantic hole on Azalea Avenue

Huge hole on the road was left open on Azalea Avenue.

Residents are urged to drive with extra caution on Azalea Avenue in Roodekrans, as a huge construction hole has been left open.

Resident Kaylen Morris stated on Facebook that the hole has been open for more than a week, and mentioned that a motorist had driven into it. There are no warning signs except for two orange cones and some caution tape.

Ward 83 councillor Suzanne Clarke said: “There is construction taking place on that road. I will surely speak to the construction team as this is totally unacceptable – the hole is a danger to the community.”

Until the road is fixed, do drive cautiously, and reduce your speed.
