Motorists have been advised to avoid Northumberland Road near Northgate Shopping Centre following a shootout this evening 21 February.
It has been reported that a shooting incident took place at the McDonald entrance near the shopping centre where police reportedly shot dead two suspects after the suspects lost control in a BMW they tried to drive away in.
It is unconfirmed what triggered the shootout at this stage.
