Young model wins big at an inter-provincial beauty pageant

In order to enter the competition, Abby had to donate non-perishable foods along with her entry fee to a charity of their choice.

 

A King’s School West Rand young modelling contestant walked away with incredible prizes after taking part in a beauty pageant in the North-West province.

Abigail ‘Abby’ Leonard, who is in Grade 3, entered the Miss Kind Hearted 2018 pageant on 3 February, and was placed in the top five in the best dressed and best ramp awards categories. She was also placed first in her age category for girls between the ages of six and eight years old.

The event was hosted by Lee-Ann Naudé and Eileen Pretorius at The Family Court Yard Venue in Rustenburg.

In order to enter the competition, Abby had to donate non-perishable foods along with her entry fee to a charity of their choice.Her prizes including winning a kids’ laptop, makeup, jewellery, bath products, a Bell Barbie and puzzles.Abby will keep the title for the rest of the year, until the next competition is held. She is also not obligated to do charity work with this title, but Abby does believe in giving back to the community.
